IN THE MOOD TICKETS – will be sold today in fellowship hall after worship. Join us for a night of big band music and dancing at the Kansas Aviation Museum. This event is on Friday, October 18, 2019, from 6:30-9:30 pm. It is a fundraiser for the mission of our church. Several groups will be featured performing the music of Glenn Miller, the Mills Brothers and the McGuire Sisters. There will be complimentary beverages and hor’s d’ oeuvres.  Tickets are $100.

HEAD-TO-TOE HYGIENE PANTRY workday is Thursday, August 15, from 9-11am, at 2130 E. 21st St. N. The Pantry is open on Saturday, August 17, from 9:00-11:30 a.m.


YOGA meets every Tuesday at 4:00, Thursday at 6:00, and Friday, at 10:00, in fellowship hall. The cost for the Tuesday and Thursday class is $5 because it is instructor-led.


ALL BOARDS MEET on Sunday, August 18, immediately following the worship service at 11:45 a.m.

FELLOWSHIP DINNERS – It is time to sign up for our Fellowship Dinners which will be held in October & November.  This is a wonderful time to connect with old and new members by enjoying dinner at a member’s home.  Usually, there are 6 to 10 in attendance at these dinners.  Sign-up starts Sunday, August 11th and will continue until the middle of September.  Hostesses are always needed, so please indicate on the sheet if you can host.


August 25 – Congregational Café – fellowship hall at 11:30

September 8 – Fall Choir Kick-off, covered dish dinner

September 22 – Congregational Meeting – sanctuary at 11:30

September 29 – Revelations – fellowship hall at 6:00

CONGREGATIONAL CAFÉ – is on Sunday, August 25, at 11:30 in fellowship hall. The Ad Hoc Committee to Review the Bylaws will present their reorganization plan to the congregation. The Council has approved the changes and now it is time for the congregation to provide comments.  The Committee will then proceed to prepare bylaws revisions for your consideration in the Fall. You will receive a copy of the reorganization plan prior to that meeting.  Please take time to read it and note questions you may have.
