THIS WEEK

WEDNESDAY NIGHT ALIVE – on Wednesday, September 18, at 6:00pm. This fall we will be offering a Progressive Bible Study “The Most Dangerous Book in the World”, on Wednesdays from 6:00-7:00, from September 11-October 30.

Did you ever wonder how the Bible came to be? Who decided what books would be in it? Who even wrote all those books? And why is it so dangerous? If these questions spark your curiosity then you should join us for Wednesday Night Alive. You will need a New Revised Standard Version Bible.  Handouts and supplemental materials will be provided at each session. Join us to learn more about the most dangerous book in the world—The Bible.

HEAD-TO-TOE HYGIENE PANTRY workday is Thursday, September 19, from 9-11am, at 2130 E. 21st St. N. The Pantry is open on Saturday, September 21, from 9:00-11:30 a.m. The pantry is in need of your used plastic grocery sacks.  Please bring them to the church and place them in the bins in fellowship hall.

MENS’ LUNCH is Thursday, September 19, at 11:30, at Scotch & Sirloin. The guest speaker is Derrick Grubbs, Vice President of Game Operations, Wichita Baseball. His presentation is about “The Story of Wichita Baseball 2020.”

IN THE MOOD – is October 18, at 6:30pm, at the Kansas Aviation Museum. Today is the last day to buy “In the Mood” tickets.  All tickets should be paid for today also.  We will be able to accept checks or credit cards that evening for the silent auction items.

YOGA meets every Tuesday at 4:00, Thursday at 6:00, and Friday, at 10:00, in fellowship hall. The cost for the Tuesday and Thursday class is $5.

NEXT WEEK

CONGREGATIONAL MEETING is Sunday, September 22, in fellowship hall at 11:30. The purpose of the meeting is to present to the congregation for its consideration and approval a proposed operating budget for 2020.

LARKSFIELD CLASS meets on September 25, at 10:00 a.m., in the club room.

REVELATIONS is coming up! Save the date for Sunday, September 29, at 6:00, in fellowship hall. Join us for an evening of fun, good food, wine, and music by the UCC Choir.  Tickets are $25 at the door.  Proceeds benefit the student music scholarship program.  If you would like to attend you may sign-up on the PIC board this Sunday, or call/email Heidi at: heidi@box2384.temp.domains to register.  Registration ends on September 25.
