The UCC PIC board is located in fellowship hall.  It is a tri-fold six foot tall bulletin board covered in burgundy fabric.  The PIC board displays registration sheets for upcoming events at UCC, information about upcoming events at UCC and in the community, and thank you notes and newsletters from community partners, members, and letters from members that have moved away, etc…

A couple of new sections have recently been added, Members Corner and Wellness Corner.  The Members’ Corner will feature news articles written about UCC members and staff, or by UCC members.  The Wellness Corner will feature news articles about current health and wellness topics.  Check out the PIC Board this week for an article written by Ted Blankenship in The Active Age, and an article written by Reverend Dr. Robin McGonigle and Reverend Paul Ellis Jackson in the Eagle newspaper on June 10, 2018, “People of faith say protect SNAP”, and an article that was written by three house church coordinators, “Time is right for new pool at McAdams.” The Wellness Corner has an article about Shringrix the new and improved shingles vaccine.  These health and wellness articles are informative in nature and not intended to influence your decision on treatment.

PLEASE JOIN US on September 28-29 at University Congregational Church for the Richard Greene Lecture Series – Jesus Seminar on the Road: The
Political Jesus led by Arthur J. Dewey and Celene Lillie.

The Jesus of history resisted the political and social realities of his day. Early Christians did the same. Neither one was necessarily successful in their aims, but what do we know about their attitudes toward the economy, immigrants, and war? How did Jesus and emerging Christ communities express concerns for justice and peace? Looking at the world today, what would they say about American politics?
