Rose Hill Students helping prepare for the Head to Toe Hygiene Pantry distributionUniversity Congregational Church has a long history of providing community outreach.  We provide outreach services to organizations through church missions that are addressing the needs of our community. Our ongoing efforts are:

The Head to Toe Hygiene Pantry

The Head-to-Toe Hygiene Pantry is a ministry of UCC. Its mission is to provide basic personal hygiene items to persons with very low incomes. Items that are available for distribution include toilet paper, laundry detergent, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes, diapers, baby wash, baby lotion, feminine hygiene items, deodorant, shaving cream and razors.

The Pantry is open the third Saturday of each month and serves 425-475 families each time.

We have volunteers from UCC working the Thursday before each opening date to help prepare items for distribution. In addition to volunteers from UCC, we are fortunate to have volunteers from across the community help at each opening.

We receive financial contributions in support of this mission from individuals, churches, and corporations. In addition to money, we also receive in-kind donations from the community for items to be distributed.

United Methodist Open Door Food Pantry gives us the use of part of their building at no cost and the Pantry is operated totally by volunteers.

Additionally, we have an Outreach Board that works on other projects that have been supported by UCC these include:
