HANAWALT – Immediately following worship in fellowship hall. THIS WEEK STEPHEN MINISTERS meets Thursday, June 6, at 11:00 a.m., in the office conference room. YOGA meets every Tuesday at 4:00 and Friday, at 10:00, in fellowship hall. The cost for the Tuesday class is $5 because it is instructor-led. NEXT WEEK UCC 101 NEWCOMER’S CLASS – If you would like to learn more about University Congregational Church, meet members of the church and ask Robin questions…then join us on Sunday, June 9, at 9:00 am, in fellowship hall. UCC DAY AT THE ZOO – join us on Sunday, June 9, at 2:00 pm, or Saturday, July 27, at 10:00 am, at the Sedgwick County Zoo. Admission is only $10.00 for adults or $5.00 for children 3-11 years old. Sign up on the PIC board if interested. HEAD-TO-TOE HYGIENE PANTRY – There is no workday this month. The pantry is open on Saturday, June 15, from 9:00-11:30am, at 2130 E 21st St N. GAMMON SCHOOL SUPPLIES CAMPAIGN – During June, the Outreach Board invites financial donations toward restocking the Gammon School Supply Closet. As in the past two years, this gift will significantly increase the availability of high-demand supplies for Gammon classrooms and students. Without UCC’s gift, low-income students do without supplies, or teachers tap into personal incomes to purchase them. We solicit dollars instead of supplies because Gammon can purchase deeply-discounted products for less than any bargains we might find. Based on your generosity in 2018 and the size of the need, our goal is to raise $5,000. So, bring your checkbooks any Sunday in June, and a volunteer will happily accept your gift at our Fellowship Hall table. Or you may mail a check noted for this purpose to the church office.
