Sermon Title: “Won’t You Be My Neighbor?” part 2

THE FLOWERS ON THE COMMUNION TABLE TODAY are given by Leigh Aaron-Leary. “Flowers are dedicated to ALL the people – staff and volunteers – who work together to create our UCC experience on Sunday and throughout the week.”

COLORING BOOKS FOR HONDURAS – will be on sale today and next Sunday in fellowship hall. The cost of the book is a $10 donation, $5 covers the cost of printing and shipping and the remaining $5 is donated to the Head-to-Toe hygiene pantry.

ALL BOARDS MEET immediately following the worship service at 11:45.
THE CE BOARD will meet in the Science and Exploration Room.
THE DEACONS will meet in the area outside the downstairs kitchen.
THE MUSIC BOARD will meet in the room beside the choir room.
THE OUTREACH BOARD will meet in the office meeting room.
THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES will meet in the conference room.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT ALIVE begins on Wednesday, September 19, at 6:00, in
fellowship hall. We will be exploring Robin Meyer’s book: Spiritual Defiance. Books may be purchased online through Amazon or from other retailers.

MENS’ LUNCH is Thursday, September 20, at 11:30, at Scotch & Sirloin. The speaker is Catherine Linaweaver, retired prison warden.

NOTICE OF CONGREGATIONAL CAFÉ AND MEETING — will be held immediately following worship service on Sept 23rd, Reconvene in fellowship hall to vote on the
proposed 2019 budget. Coffee and cookies will be served. Sponsored by the 2019 Commitment Team.

REVELATIONS is Sunday, September 23, at 5:30. Join us for cocktails, and dinner at 6:00, in fellowship hall. The cost is $25, in advance. The UCC Choir will perform. Proceeds benefit the student music scholarship program. Sign up on the PIC board to attend.

THE RICHARD D. GREENE LECTURE SERIES – Jesus Seminar on the Road: The Political Jesus led by Arthur J. Dewey and Celene Lillie, will be held on September 28-29 at University Congregational Church. A registration table will be set up in fellowship hall this Sunday. Tickets are $60 for all three sessions or $20 per session. ITALIAN JOURNEY – We are delighted to invite you on an unforgettable journey through Italy. Travel back in time and visit ancient ruins. Our journey will begin in Rome, followed by wine tasting in Assisi and cooking in Florence. As we head north we’ll pass through the charming towns of Verona and the floating jewel, Venice. We will then travel onto Lake Como and float across before settling into bustling Milan for a night. Travel dates are April 22, 2019 to May 4, 2019.  Registration forms and itineraries are available in the foyer and in fellowship hall.  Deposits are now due.
