NEEDLE WORKERS meets Tuesday, August 9, at 10:00. Bring something you are working on or learn something new.

WOMEN’S POWER LUNCH Thursday, August 11, from 11:30-1:00, at the
Petroleum Club. Enjoy a delicious lunch, hear inspiring speakers and meet the 2016 Women Build homebuyer. Order tickets online at: www.wichitahabitat.org/lunch/. Robin will be hosting a table so please RSVP to the church office at 634-0430, so we can save room for our group.

BACK TO SCHOOL PROJECT UCC and Dellrose UMC are partnering to collect and distribute school supplies. We are asking for donations of school supplies, backpacks, and textbook fees. See the PIC board in Fellowship Hall for lists of supplies needed, or you may write a check to UCC (put Back to School on memo line) and we will shop for you. Textbook rental fees are $22 for Kindergarten and $37 for grades 1-5. Any money left over will go to the textbook fees.

Thursday, August 11, at 5:30, the backpacks will be filled with supplies and Sunday, August 14, from 1:00-3:00 the backpacks will be handed out to the kids. You are welcome to volunteer on either or both of these dates at Dellrose UMC. If you would like to volunteer there are sign-up sheets on the PIC board in Fellowship Hall. All school supplies, and checks need to be at UCC by this Sunday, August 7.

MEN’S GROUP LUNCHEON is Thursday, August 18, at 11:30a.m. at the Lakeside Club, speaker TBA. Recordings are now available in the church
office for $2.00, call 634-0430, or signup on the PIC board. Open to all.

HEAD-TO-TOE HYGIENE PANTRY is open on Saturday, August 20, from 8:30-11:45 a.m., at 1611 N. Mosley. There won’t be a workday this month.

HELP WANTED to assist Robin in making banners for the Fall Choir Kick-Off. This will involve cutting felt and applying it to fabric. If you are
interested please call the church office at 634-0430, or come by the church on Wednesday, August 10, at 9:00a.m. See your beautiful work displayed in the UCC Sanctuary during the month of September.

USHERS NEEDED before and during worship service. Did you know that many of our UCC ushers have been volunteering for over 20 years? If you are looking to serve your church, or are a new member, this is a great way to get to know your church family. If you would like to volunteer to be an usher or volunteer on a trial basis there are some sign-up sheets on the PIC board in Fellowship Hall, or you may contact the church office at 634-0430.
