THE C.E. BOARD will meet in the Science and Exploration room.

 

THE BOARD OF DEACONS will meet downstairs beside the kitchen.

 

THE MUSIC BOARD will meet in the room beside the choir room.

 

THE OUTREACH BOARD will meet in the office meeting room.

 

THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES will meet in the conference room.

All meetings will be at 11:45.

W.O.W. THE WEDNESDAY EVENING PROGRAM continues each Wednesday through November 19 offering you additional opportunities for fellowship, worship, and education during the week.

5:30  Dinner will available for a free will offering.

6:00 A class taught by Robin on Crossan’s Justice and Peace Series.  A special music class will be taught by choir member Alyson Golloday (who is a Music Ed. Student at WSU) will be available for kids also at 6:00. The evening program ends at 7:00.

 

THE GUILD LADIES will be preparing for the Baby Shower by packaging diapers on Thursday, October 23, at 10:00 in Fellowship Hall.  Please stop by and help out if you can.

 

YOGA Tuesdays at 4:00 ($5.00) and Fridays at 10:00 in Fellowship Hall.

9:00 SUNDAY MORNING DISCUSSION GROUP is listening to a series of lectures by Dr. Bart Ehrman entitled “Lost Christianities of the 2nd and 3rd Centuries” Discussion of the lectures will follow. Meet in the conference room downstairs. All are welcome to attend.

 

PLEASE PLAN TO STAY FOR THE CONGREGATIONAL MEETING in Fellowship Hall after the church service. Marla Flentje, chair of the Christian Life Advisory Committee (CLAC)  will tell us the latest from CLAC and the UCC Strategic Plan.

Moderator, Phil Rhea, will talk about Robin’s performance goals for the next year.

Coffee will be served as usual.

THE FAMILY OF BENNY LEONARD is giving Benny a 90th Birthday Party in Fellowship Hall  this afternoon from 2-5.  You all are welcome to stop by and have some snacks, cake, and punch to wish Benny a happy birthday.

COOK’S NIGHT OUT is this Thursday, October 16, in Fellowship Hall. Our friend Keith Williamson is giving a talk titled “Through the Rear View Mirror”. The ladies  are cooking  a wonderful dinner. Please sign up in Fellowship Hall. Social time 6:00 Buffet at 6:30  $15.00 p.p. Children (4-10) $5.00.

 

THE PANTRY WORKDAY is Thursday, October 16, from 9:00-11:00 at 1611 N. Mosely. Your help is appreciated.

A MESSAGE FROM BOB SCOTT-“Thank you, so much, my long time friends at UCC for the very nice “Roast” and all the kind words upon my retirement.  It is with great pleasure that I relinquish by baton to Michael Hanawalt.  There should be a love affair between the choir and the director and Michael will be a great lover.  My emotion is pure pleasure in watching the excellence of their music.  Thank you all for making it possible for the last quarter century and for the next quarter century.  You are wonderful.  Much love, Bob”

Hall to make blankets for  the Baby Shower on Oct. 29.  No sewing skills needed. Bring a sack lunch if you can stay a while.

LAST DAY THE OUTREACH BOARD will be taking donations of Women’s Fall/Winter clothing and accessories such as shoes, belts, and purses in Fellowship Hall,  This clothing will be given to our local Dress for Success program which provides clothing and training for women entering the workforce.
