THE FLOWERS ON THE COMMUNION TABLE TODAY are given by Cyndi Richter in honor of her Mother, Pat Beal.

 

A NEWMEMBER CLASS, UCC 101, is today after the church service in the downstairs conference room.  If you are interested in joining UCC, this is a great way to learn more about how the church is structured and for you to ask questions.  A light lunch will be served.

 

THIS WEEK

 

WOW CLASSES BEGIN THIS WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 4, AT 5:30. The class will be based on the book “What Does a Progressive Christian Believe?” and taught by both Robin and Paul. Books will be available for $12.00.  A light dinner will be provided for a free will offering. The class will be each Wednesday evening through March 25. If you can’t make all the classes, come join in when you can.

 

TICKETS ARE ON SALE today in Fellowship Hall for the Women’s Guild  

Valentine’s Tea, Saturday, February 7,  at 2:00. The tickets are $15.00 each and your check is your reservation.  Please get your tickets early, only 60 tickets will be sold and they have sold out in the past. You can buy a table of 6 if you have a group and want to reserve a table.  The last day to buy ticket is Monday, February 2.

 

NEXT SUNDAY

 

SAVE THE DATE!  FEBRUARY 8 Head to Toe Hygiene Pantry will be hosting a chili and cinnamon roll feed immediately following the morning church service in Fellowship Hall. There will be crackers and veggies and a meat-free vegetable soup for those who would like to have an alternative.

 

A free-will offering will be taken to help support the Pantry. As the numbers of those coming to the Pantry continues to increase, the annual budget for the Pantry is over $60,000.

 

 

A CLASS AT LARKSFIELD will begin on February 11, at 10:00 a.m.  The class runs through March 25, excluding March 4.  Everyone is invited to attend.  Gary Cox’s book “Think Again” will be discussed and is for sale for $5 at the class or in the church office.

Fellowship Hall.  Sign up early to get your preferred date.

THE SPRING FELLOWSHIP DINNER is during the months of March and April.  Signup sheets are on the PIC board. This is one of UCC’s most popular programs because it is a wonderful way to get to know each other better. Please make sure your information is complete and easy to read.  If have any questions, please call the office.

ATTENTION ALL BOARD MEMBERS there will be a Leadership Luncheon immediately following the church service on Sunday, February 15, in Fellowship Hall.

WE WILL HONOR CYNDI RICHTER during our Fellowship Coffee following the 10:30 AM service.  A card will be available in Fellowship Hall for you to sign.  A basket is available for you to drop in a card for her if you wish.  Please join us for refreshments as we wish Cyndi a Happy Retirement!!

THE GRIEF GROUP will meet Monday January 26, at 2:00 p.m. in the conference room and anyone who deals with grief is invited to come.

TO ALL OF YOU WITH DILLON’S CARDS There have been some changes to the Community Rewards program.  Effective February 1, 2015, the program will no longer use the reloadable gift cards.  Instead, you can participate by registering your Dillon’s Plus card online and selecting the organization you would like to support.  The code number for UCC is 10498.  All proceeds will be allocated to the Head to Toe Hygiene Pantry.  You can register your Plus card by going to dillons.com and press Register.  If you don’t  have access to a computer, contact Kim Carraway at 259-0933.
