Sermon Title: “Re-Imagine the World: Prodigals Parable”

FILLING THE GAP begins this Monday, July 31 through Friday, August 18, from 11:45-1:15, Monday through Friday.

We are in need of some children’s books at Filling the Gap. Now would be a good time to go through your books at home and see if you have some that your children or grandchildren have outgrown. Just bring them to the church.

STEPHEN MINISTERS meets Thursday, August 3, at 2:00 p.m., in the
office conference room.

YOGA meets every Tuesday at 4:00 and Friday, at 10:00, in the basement, children’s music room. The cost for the Tuesday class is $5, because it is
instructor led.

FALL KICK-OFF—Please join us for the “Fall Kick-Off Pot Luck/Ice Cream
Social”, to welcome back our fabulous choir, on September 10th, in fellowship hall directly following the worship service.

Please feel free to bring your favorite dish with the exception of desserts, as the Deacons will provide ice cream and toppings. Plus, there will be special events and activities for the children, which will be provided by the Christian Education board.

Let us make this a special celebration for such a special day. See you there.

NEXT WEEK

FILLING THE GAP begins Monday, July 31 through Friday, August 18, from 11:45-1:15, Monday through Friday. We need volunteers to help at the Iasis Christian Center (1914 E. 11th St. N.). Children will be provided a prepared cold lunch, which they can take home or eat there. If you can help one or more days, please sign up in the basement on the PIC board during fellowship time after worship.

THE GAMMON SCHOOL SUPPLY CLOSET— will be brimming when school begins this fall, thanks to the generosity of our congregation!    Nearly $3,100 has been donated to supply high-demand school supplies to children from low-income families and their teachers.  An enthusiastic thank you to everyone who supported this new outreach to our neighborhood school.  If you would like to contribute, it’s not too late.  Please drop your notated check in the offering plate or mail it to the church office.  And stay tuned for more information about Gammon volunteer opportunities.

JOIN THE JAYWALKERS and support Jay Decker by going to:

Walk with Jay either virtually or in person on Saturday, September 23rd, as together we support all those affected by this devastating disease and raise funds to find a cure. You will find a label attached to your name tag this Sunday, stick the label on your shoes so Jay is able to identify who he is visiting with!
