NEXT WEEK
UCC 101 NEW MEMBER CLASS will meet Sunday, June 28, at 9:00 a.m. prior to the worship service in the basement conference room. If you are visiting or interested in joining the UCC, this is a great way to learn more about how the church is structured and a chance for you to ask questions. CONGREGATIONAL MEETING is on June 28 at 11:30 a.m. immediately following the worship service. The Moderator and Council have called a special meeting of the congregation. The only item on the agenda is whether the church should create a Memorial Garden and Meditation Plaza in the green space behind the church and between the east and west wings as the Ad Hoc Memorial Committee has recommended. Plans will be presented, questions addressed and members will be invited to vote.

PARTNERS FOR WICHITA ’Filing the Gap’ lunches for kids is approaching quickly we are now recruiting volunteers for the following locations: Cross Point, Salvation Army, New Covenant and Interfaith Ministries, as well as other locations. Volunteers serve at one of the 15 sites on one or more weekdays, August 3-14, from 11:30 – 1:30. To help set out prepared shelf-stable meals, snacks, and fruit; greet and sign in the children; help children select meals and snacks; supervise activities at the lunch site; and enjoy seeing |
