NEW SERMON SERIES – begins today July 8, “Discovering the Enneagram: An Ancient Tool for a New Spiritual Journey.”  The Enneagram refers to the nine different types or styles, with each representing a worldview and archetype that resonates with the way people think, feel and act in relation to the world, others and themselves. It is much more than a personality profile that offers insight into core personality traits, as it delves deeper into the core motivations, defense mechanisms and fears that often lie in the unconscious layers of our personality structure. Your Enneagram core type is like a home base from which we make sense of individuation, integration and development.
Visit this link at: https://enneagramtest.net/, to take the Enneagram Test to
discover or reaffirm your character type.

COOKS NIGHT OUT – Will be an Asian theme on Thursday, July 26th, at 6:00 PM in fellowship hall. Robin and Eric McGonigle will be sharing with us their trip to Southeast Asia this spring where they visited Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam. They will discuss the history, culture, and architecture of these
countries. They will also share what they learned firsthand about the customs of the people, their beliefs, and the impact of the government and their daily lives. They have many fascinating stories of their experiences and wonderful pictures. Please join us for a delicious Asian dinner and an interesting presentation. You can purchase tickets today in fellowship hall and the following three Sundays: July 8th, 15th, and 22nd.

The Jesus of history resisted the political and social realities of his day. Early Christians did the same. Neither one was necessarily successful in their aims, but what do we know about their attitudes toward the economy, immigrants, and war? How did Jesus and emerging Christ communities express concerns for justice and peace? Looking at the world today, what would they say about American politics?
